I am a UK-based freelance illustrator specialising in creatures, characters and narrative-driven fantasy artwork. My work is rooted in a lifelong fascination with fantasy, mythology and storytelling, with a particular interest in creating images that suggest a story beyond the frame.
With a professional background spanning illustration, graphic design and traditional art, I combine traditional painting techniques with digital processes to create atmospheric, detailed artwork for publishing, games, posters and commercial projects. I work across a range of media including oils, acrylics, watercolour and coloured pencil, bringing a painterly approach to both fantastical subjects and narrative scenes.
My commercial clients include Iron Crown Enterprises, Hydra Press, ImagineFX, Pyramid Posters, Nemesis Now, DRB Pictures, and a variety of indie authors and publishers.
I am particularly drawn to creature design, character development and moments of narrative tension—the point where an image captures a character, creature or environment in the middle of a larger story. Whether depicting a monstrous creature, a fantastical character or a quiet moment within an imagined world, my aim is always to create artwork with atmosphere, personality and a strong sense of narrative.
Alongside commercial illustration, I teach traditional art and continue to develop my own illustrated fantasy project, World War Fae, which brings together mythology, creatures, characters and storytelling through a series of interconnected paintings, illustrations and published illustrated books.
